Turkish Marriage Certificate Translation to English for U.S. Immigration
Which pages of family certificate do you need to have translated?
In principle, you need to have translation of pages that contain your and your spouse’s personal information, excluding pages that do not have any information or data entered. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS, formerly Immigration and Naturalization Service – INS) wants to know about your marriage and related information.
Typically our clients send us the copies of the pages containing the photographs of married couple and boxes numbered from 1 to 19. Total number of pages is 4 or 5 (with cover page).
You need to have certified Turkish translation of your and your spouse's (husband or wife) Turkish birth certificate translation together with translation of your marriage certificate.
Old and new Turkish marriage licenses
Old Turkish marriage license (evlilik cuzdani) was in the form of booklet containing many pages, including children born and military service records.
New Turkish marriage licenses are called International Marriage Certificate (Uluslararasi Aile Cuzdani) in also French language in accordance with convention signed in Paris on September 12, 1974.
