Turkish to English Translation of your Birth Certificate for U.S. Immigration
Translate your Turkish birth certificate from Turkish to English and certify for U.S. Immigration
You birth certificate is the most important document that U.S. Immigration U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS, or formerly Immigration and Naturalization Service - INS) wants you to get translated and certified.
Birth certificates are issued either in Turkey or in the United States by Turkish Consulate offices in Washington, D.C., New York, Houston, or Los Angeles. They are updated when you have a change in your status such as getting married, changing your name, or the form is changed by Turkish government.
Male Turkish citizens receive blue-colored and female Turkish citizens receive orange/pink-colored certificates with different serial numbers.
Which one do you need to have translated and certified into English?
If you have two-sided birth certificate (Nufus Cuzdani) with your photograph on the upper right side, then this is the document that needs to be translated and certified. You may also submit another document (Nufus Kayit Ornegi) with no photograph as shown below.

If you have both, then prefer English translation of Nufus Cuzdani as it has your photograph and stamps on it, creating more credibility.
You need to have certified Turkish translation of your Turkish marriage license (evlilik cuzdani) as well, if you are married.
