Who issues birth certificates in Macedonian language?

Until 1946, orthodox churches have been issuing birth certificates. After 1946, civil registrars (Izvod od Maticna Kniga na Rodeni) atarted to issue birth certificates, marriage certificates, and similar civil registration documents in Skopje, Bitola, Kumanovo, or in other cities. Orthodox churches still issue birth certificates however these certificates are not legal until birth is recorded by civil registrars.

Birth certificates are regulated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republoic of Macedonia. Registrars of municipalities (for instance, in Tito Veles) are authorized to issue birth certificates.
