Birth Certificate Translation for Green Card

Translate your birth certificate to get your Green (Permanent Resident Alien) Card

Birth certificate is the most important civil registration record that you need to apply to get your Green Card (Permanent Resident Alien visa). Some countries issue birth certificate under different names: certificate of Baptism (Baptismal certificate), family registry, certificate of vital records registration, and many other names. They all serve the same purpose in applying to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS, formerly Immigration and Naturalization Service - INS).

What do you need to do if you do not have your birth certificate?

Civil registration or other administrative offices in many countries issue non-availability of birth certificate documents to serve as birth certificate.

If, however, you had a birth certificate but you lost it or cannot find it, then you need to contact consular section of your country's embassy in Washington, D.C. Check if your embassy has a website to give you instructions on how to apply to get a new birth certificate.

If you live in the United States and you want to get birth certificate for your newborn child, contact your embassy.
