Two witnesses, not related to marrying individuals by blood or marriage are required in civil marriages in city halls in Tirana and other cities.
All marriages must be registered with the Albanian Bureau of Vital Statistics.

Albanian marriage certificates are handwritten with a postage stamp-like stamp with wet seal, containing your and your spouse’s (husband of wife) first, middle, and last name, maiden name of woman, your and your spouse’s father’s and mother’s name, name of issuing agency and place of registration, name and title of signing officer.
